Hey Family;-)
You guys know I LOVE weddings and am no stranger to creating something for a beautiful bridal bash. As an admirer, I am inspired by the true glow of love and joy in a wedding couples eyes and hearts. Whether in person or captured on film or print.
As a seller, it is truly a humbling experience and honor for any purchase that comes from either one of my Etsy shops to be included a one of the most life changing and loving experiences in ones life.
Here is a recent pic from a blushing July bride from Upstate New York with her handsome hubby. Besides their gorgeous smiles, I love the beautiful peacock feathered bouquet and accented lapel. These are the same blond bombshells that are sold in my feather section of my shop. WOW, they look stunning!.......oh yeah, the feathers are nice too;-P
Congrats to the both you and many long and happy yrs to come! Thank you for sharing this with me. OK, I'm getting misty-eyed..seriously... danggit, I hate when that happens;-)

The Weeks in Review
Hey Family,
just wanted to stop in and show you a few of the things I've been doing for the past few weeks- I have more to post but right now I'm on dial up at my mom's house and uploading is a chore!I finish the rest on Tuesday.
First, I made 10 pairs of Rose Quartz earrings for a Texas bride, and 8 Calla Lilly Necklaces for a Colorado wedding last week.

Finished the Mother of Pearl earrings for the New York Bride this week.. She choose style 1, I liked style 2;-) but it's not MY wedding now is it?? lol!!

Spent some time with the local wildlife- these Canadian Geese have long stopped migrating to the South for decades after the locals started feeding them.
Don't worry they still nibble on all the grass here -trust me we see how well they are eating by the - umm - "presents " they leave behind lol..great fertilizer though ..ok, that's gross;-P
moving on....I helped pull some weeds from a neighbors floral garden

Made some more new jewelry, you know I just HAD to make some feather earrings in purple! Sold the first pair a few hours later. You can find all these new pieces in my Etsy shop
I choose a new wood background for my new and older listings. Gotta re-do your pictures sometimes to keep them fresh.

These acrylic leaf earrings are my favorite. They remind me of the changing of leaves in Autumn.

I've been hearing my use of natural elements make my pics too busy and distracting. Maybe, maybe not..but I love to use natural elements in my pictures. I just can't ..no, wait WON"T do the one color/plain background. It's just not me. The color, textures, seasons, ..all these things I think about when i make a piece or photograph them because these are the elements that inspire me.

Simple Sunday
Snow- Something about the snow makes pictures look so surreal even jewelry photos:)
Sentimental - I just listed these two cards in my Etsy shop. These can be given to a loved one ANYTIME and great for family and close friends.
Although the cards are tagged for the holiday, not everyone celebrates Valentines Day..so I wanted to offer cards that are good to express love any day, by adding "non-traditional and "sentimental" tags as well. How was your Sunday?

For me personally, these photos are a big improvement. If you take a look at my flickr page by clicking on the slideshow-alot of those early photos were taken with a WEB CAMERA and no photo-editing software. I didn't get a digital-camera until the Spring of 2008.
After I accidently broke that one... ( I sat on it and broke the lens.....hey, thats not funny- ok yeah it is!!)I got a Kodak PhotoSmart-it works ok..but I can't seem to get that noise reduction out of the shots. Take a good look at the photos in both my Etsy and Artfire shops from October-to the present..and compare the clarity, definition and quality of these pics. Even to the un-trained eye you can see a BIG difference.

Work in Progress with Infivision-Phase one
I am very excited to work with Infivision, creator of EtsyFeeder , awesome hubby of SoapDeli@Etsy and proud new Etsy seller! Not only did I have the pleasure of interviewing him for my indie feature blog, MyIndieLove. Even though I have improved my pics alot from the days of using my web cam to take pics, I still see some that even I say,,"ooh that one..kinda sucks right there":-P
I am excited to be Adams' first customer..I have sent him five pieces to work with and so far here is one set of "test shots" on a pair of wire-wrapped earrings.

Again, these are the early test shots..I personally love the background used in the second pic. i am excited to see the rest..Just thought I would share this with you and yeah..plug Adam a bit too...But if you really want to see his work visit Adam at http://infivision.etsy.com or check out my interview with him at Myindielove.blogspot.com
Will keep you posted...

Triple Tuesday
On Triple Tuesday I find three things that catch my attention and categorize them. Today's themes are Change, Colorful and Classic.
bright purple and yellow blossoms and warm orange pumpkins gave me lots of colorful design inspirations..
This is my favorite..A little piece of Carnival in the city. The Bryant Park Restoration Corporation addition of the beautiful "Le Carrousel"fits so well with the park’s French classical style. It has fourteen 14 resin animals, replicas of classic carousel creatures, a few chariot-style benches while revolving to French cabaret classics such as 'La Vie en Rose''.

Despite the rain earlier in the day, for the short time that is stopped, it was a great afternoon..:) How was your Tuesday??

More than a pretty picture
Over the past year since I signed up with Etsy ..I have always looked for new and creative ways to photograph my jewelry...but then my mind as I take the pics starts to wander off and I imagine my photos in a photo art gallery ,,,or an ACEO print....I have even though of becoming a Jewelry Photographer..hmmmmm
I love to add details to my photos to give them an edge...a personality....i guess i try to find backgrounds and scenery that reflects what is the feeling or theme I had when i created the jewelry design.I have received lots of compliments on this photo below...another beautiful accident. I was just trying to get a shoot that captured the details of the brass component AND the color if the stones in evening light...Then a scene plays in my head..............

I thought of a woman who was sitting outside on the deck of a ferry boat reading a book, that caught the attention of a handsome man who admired her from afar....as he approached her she looks up in his direction and the sunlight just lightly glides across her face catching the light green/hazel in her eyes.
The man..in awe of her natural beauty says "Your earrings are beautiful"
She replies, "Thank you, these are my favorite pair"
He smiles with an adoring smile..."Yes" he says, I can see why"............

Just a few thoughts I wanted to share
