For October's Breast Cancer Month- The Wonder of a Woman

This is a poem I wrote that was published with Poetry.Com :
http://www.poetry.com/dotnet/P4048551/999/1/display.aspx

I originally posted this poem for on October 10th, 2008.
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I wanted to share this here for and to all those WONDERful women out there who are survivors, fighting and living with Breast or any form of Cancer- you can do it and you are strong -an inspiration to me any many other.

Ladies, this one is for you :)

WONDER
A creation of an unseen force.Bound only by physical time.A vessel of extension to a mathematical continuum.360 degrees divine.

Shaped, colored, textured, and geometrical.A true original of it's kind.Carried by the torch of love and unity.Standing forefront at the footsteps of opportunity.Blinded in thine sight yet stands firmly in grasp to see. The tarnished scales of justice and equality.Unfettered in hope and liberty.

Desired,by many but chosen in singularity.Tortured in soul, captured by familiarity, stolen for prosperity.Yet this creature still remains a Phoenix, For the elevated and free.A symbol of eternal worship almost near deity, As this creation is seen through the eyes, lips and hearts of those given life through thee.HMMMM. IT IS TRULY A WONDER WHAT A WOMAN CAN BE.

I wrote this poem with thoughts and inspirations of those of us women who have loved and are loved, lost and have found, suffered and survived, struggling but still strong and surviving. For mothers, daughter, leaders and followers, young and old. For all the wonder of women.

Be Well- Ny

Very well written poem! I have lost someone very close to me due to breast cancer. She was like my "second mom." I still miss her (Linda) tremendously to this day (as tears still come to my eyes as I think of her).
