Nature's Beauty

Even poor lighting couldn't stop this rose from being any less beautiful..in fact I think the early evening shadow gave this photo a very interesting effect.

Something beautiful I wanted to share.

Colortime-snow go away!

As much as I love the peace and serenity of Winters calm.. I am itching for my senses to be awakened by COLOR!! Orchids and Mums and Carnations

Violets and Pansies

Chrysanthemums and Tulips

Sea blue skies...

fields of green.......

oranges and marmalade jam....mmmm

I couldn't wait. I posted these colorful, vegan friendly peacock feathers in my shop. I can make earrings with any of these colors listed. Wait, did I say vegan and peacock in the same sentence? Yes, because these are synthetic , faux, fake..non-animal based.Though I do use natural peacock feather in some of my feather creations. I clearly indicate if they are natural or not.

I love peacocks and started out working with the birds natural feathers since they shed naturally after the mating season and are still alive and kicking afterward, so to me it's like recycling a sustainable material that won't be used anymore. However, I started to use the man made ones originally it's dead ringer texture and beauty and organic processing but also for those who may be allergic to plumage, I had no idea they would be a hit in the vegan community.

These man made feathers are very well made, long lasting and specially dyed with old traditional dye process derived from the color pigments of flower, fruit and vegetable juices and oils and plants.

Humans have been using organic paints for years, there is just a better way to process the dyes, drying them, crush them up sanitize and set them without worry about running, smearing or staining.

Natural Inspirations-New Listings and Peacock Stems

Hey Family,
If anyone has the first album by Neo-Soul Artist India Arie- You will see her standing with her back turned holding a fan of peacock feathers behind her back. I got inspired and wanted to take apicture of me holding my man made stems in a similiar fashion.

I just listed some new Spring Green Peacock Stems in my Nyblaque shop.

Since the molting season is out for the farm -raised peacock feather I purchase from upstate new york and other organic sources, the feathers listed as made from man made materials and dyed with organic color fast dye. There are no animal tested or animal by products used to create the feathers.I don't know how they do it but the feather like soooo real in person are very good quality and come with easy care instructions.

I love the color contrast from yellow -green to lime green on some of the stems I have.

I even picked up some "swords" very cool;-)

I had a Mardi Gras moment when I laid out all the stems I have together. The Purple, Blonde, and Green look great together;-)

Speaking of color, I love pine cones and colored leaves- this was a nice decor mix I picked up from Michael's Craft Store.

I had no idea the colors would inspire me to create these necklaces:

I put together a wood embellishment disk with a nice Anaku tile pendant bail and a simple chain. Simple and  easy;-)

Channeled my inner Tao with this necklace:-) I love the shape of these Picture Jasper beads- I didn't know wheither to make the Ying Yang sign or the Pisces for Feb/March- so I made one of each LOL!

have a happy Thursday,

Be Well,

Lampwork Love

Hey Family, it's been a while since I posted but I have been busy.....crafting of course!

I have gone looney for handmade lampwork beads again! All my new earrings feature all new lampwork beads from Borosillicate to Raku Frit beads. I am just fascinated with all the different styles, shaped and textures these beads come in.

Pretty in Pink
These new square "pillow" beads are just adorable, hard to believe they are handmade!

With the beautiful green bushes outside I had to break away from that boring brown paper and take pics of them in a more natural element..which is frankly more my style anyway;-)

Marvelous metallics!
Fantastic florals!

These are just some of the earrings I have finished! Not enough time in the day to take all the photos and certainly would have made this a much LONGER post! .It's Spring, time for some COLOR!!

Stunning swirls

And mysterious mattes

I will be listing these lovely pieces in my Bonanzle Shop.

Thanks for visiting-Ny
